Babble’s blog, droolicious, is a great source of modern design for modern parents. And the editors certainly drooled over our PJ Cupcakes from Baby Bunch. They make a sweet gift for Valentine’s Day for that special little girl in your life. Available now at My Princess Closet in size 12-18m.

A few months back, My Princess Closet was approached by the editors at Baby Couture Magazine to give clothing to be worn by Bill Bellamy’s daughter Bailey and Jodie Sweetin’s daughter Zoie who were going to be featured on their Holiday Issue covers. We were thrilled! Now the magazine has hit the newsstands and is online. Some of the fashions featured are the Sasha dress by Fable & Lore on page 66, Cotton Cashmere Kimono Set and BabyLegs on page 77 and Baby Hada the Hippo by Zoobies on page 71. So take a look. With some of the hottest kids’ fashions inside, you’re sure to find something you love.

The View this morning featured best gifts for kids under $50 and Pinkalicious made the list! And luckily The Pinkalicious Books to Bed Sets are back in and just in time for the holidays. We ship via USPS Priority Mail which is 2-3 day delivery guaranteed, so if you order quickly, you have plenty of time to get this great gift for a special little girl for the holidays. And remember, we also have the Pinkalicious dress and Pinkalicious t-shirts. Happy Holidays!
We really love giving back to children. So when Coastal Living Magazine approached us to list our Finger Puppets for UNESCO LIFE by Fable & Lore in their Holiday Gifts That Give Back section, we were thrilled! The finger puppets are made from leftover fabric scraps and made by factory organizations that promote fair trade labor standards. UNESCO LIFE supports basic education programs in countries where literacy rates are lower than 50% or more than 100 million people need help recognizing simple words. They come in 5 different designs: fairy, knight, dragon, princess and wizard with no two being the same. Kids will have hours of fun and imaginative play and you’ll have helped someone less fortunate to read. These and other gifts that help children can be found in our Gifts That Give Back section. So during Thanksgiving when we’re counting our blessings and thinking of the things we’re thankful for, purchase a few finger puppets and give someone else something to be thankful for.

My Princess Closet was asked by Hot Moms Club to give a selection of gifts to Alison Sweeney for her baby shower and we happily agreed. Celebrity Baby Blog reported that among Alison’s favorite gifts were those given by MPC. In her gift basket were the Princess Ballerina Onezie, Purple Reign hat by Zooni, Crown Hat for Baby Girls, Pink Tiara Keepsake and a beautiful dress from Chase n’ Sky. We’re so glad she enjoyed them. And in true MPC spirit, she gave all the gifts that she received to charity. To see how we give back, check out our Gifts That Give Back section and buy an item whose manufacturer gives a portion of their proceeds to charity. Or purchase a toy for a child at Yale Children’s Hospital and get free shipping on your own order. What a great way to give back during the holiday season!
Houston Family Magazine is Houston’s premier monthly magazine dedicated to serving and empowering area parents. And MPC made it into Houston Baby’s “Smart Buys for New Parents” section (page 24). They loved the Fancy Pants and although they featured the pique fabric (Houston is hot after all!), we also offer them in corduroy and holiday varieties. And best of all they can be monogrammed for a truly special and personal gift. Thank you Houston!
For those of you living outside of the Chicago area, Chicago Parent is a parenting news magazine which offers a lively editorial mix with a distinctly local focus. See her write up here. And check out these and other fun gift items at My Princess Closet.

The colors, the styles, the excitement of the Children’s Club Tradeshow in NYC! You will be as excited as we were when we saw some of the fashions we have for your little fashionistas! In direct reaction to the bleak economy (is anyone unaffected?), we felt the bright, vibrant spring colors were a welcome sight. Our favorites did not let us down…We saw new Pink Chicken styles & prints; new trends from Stella Industries; the Enchanted Enfant collection is exciting, fresh and vibrant; Tea Collection had beautiful internationally inspired styles and an extensive selection of Morgan & Milo shoes will complete the look.
We also looked at adding some new lines. So keep checking our Coming Soon section. We’ll be previewing images of them in the upcoming months.
Organics were very popular at the show. We will be carrying several items of organic denim from LOVE IS this spring. It’s soft and sweet and we know you’re going to LOVE it! We’re also looking into bringing in a layette line of organics. Leave a comment and tell us what organics line you’d like to see on our site next spring.
So stay warm this winter by shopping at MPC in the comfort of your own home. And get ready for an exciting spring…
